To run a business, you need to measure. You cannot manage what you do not measure. How would you know if something is getting better or worse if you do not measure it?
The type of metrics you put in place are unique to your business. If you think you can just measure how much profit you make you are wrong. In order to increase your profits you have to measure other things such as “average order size”, “shipments returned from customer” or “total defects”. Once you have some data on your metrics you can start digging into root causes and brainstorm ways to improve. Your success is measured by establishing “Key Performance Indicators” or KPI’s. Each department should have its own KPI’s and report on them on a regular basis.
It is important that the KPI’s don’t just become a “feel good” tool by showing everything that is going well. It is the areas of concern that can use KPI’s the most! That is where you want to see improvements, and when you don’t, root cause analysis needs to be performed to see why there is no improvement, after which a solid action plan needs to be put into place.

We are just in the final stages of the development of this website, www.PromoDriver.com. Our focus is to provide a cool screwdriver which companies can purchase for promotional purposes. For just a minimal extra fee companies can have their own logo on the screwdriver even at low quantities.
So far the screwdriver has been well received by many. I should mention that in large retail stores over 1.000.000 units have already been sold since 2001! I truly believe that same day most households will have one of these units, and what better way then to brand it with your company name!
At the same time, we did not want to leave out our other wholesale customers who do not need the private label. So we also sell the Autoloader in an attractive counter pack display!
In addition, anyone who wants to buy one for themselves can do so as well, for a lower cost then available anywhere else in stores or online!
